Ms Bola Oyedele, Crenov8 Director at the MTFC Ghana Press Conference

MTFC is an agro conference that aims to connect large scale agro commodity producers to buyers alike. Stakeholders from Africa and GCC will come together during a 2-day event to network, collaborate, and form potential business partnerships across borders. More importantly; African farmers, participants, exhibitors and delegates at this event will be able to leverage the business opportunities available to them in Dubai and other GCC countries.

Crenov8 embarked on this mission last year to create a platform that the African agricultural producers with the off takers in the Middle East and beyond to effectively translate business deals holding the first edition in Dubai last year.

According to Crenov8 Director, Bola Oyedele,“As a management Consulting firm, headquartered in Dubai, it was almost impossible to ignore the obvious gap that existed with regards to Agricultural trade. Indeed, it is discouraging to visit supermarkets in the UAE and have little or no representation of the nutrient-packed produce that come from the rich soils of Ghana in particular and West Africa in general. It was for this reason, that we embarked on a mission in 2017 to create a platform linking the African agricultural producers with the off takers in the Middle East and beyond to effectively translate business deals.”

“Ghana being an acknowledged agricultural country as evidenced by the facts including its contribution to Ghana’s GDP (Gross Domestic Product) naturally, fits snugly into our model; that is our reason for being here with you this morning in order to have a useful conversation regarding what we need to do together to highlight Ghana’s Agricultural presence in the Middle East Region.” She said.

2017 MTFC which was held in Dubai received high governmental and political recognition, (moderated by H.E. Juma Al Kait: the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy Dubai, and underwritten by the CEO of Hamriyah Free Zone Authority; the largest free zone in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) H.E. Saud Salim) was hugely successful.

In her statement, Bola also confirmed that Crenov8 will be organising satellite conference in Ghana aside from the main MTFC conference in Dubai.

“We are having a satellite conference in Ghana; literally bringing to your doorstep, technical experts from Dubai and the Middle East whose task of an advisory nature should confidently prepare budding exporters for opportunities yawning out there to enable Agro produce business deals in the identified markets including major stakeholders on board from all participating countries as well as in-depth knowledge sessions bordering the topics of food safety laws in the UAE and other pertinent topics as well as engaging panel discussions.”

Present at the press briefing were: Managing Directors of Agribusinesses in Ghana, Presidents of Farmers Associations, Deputy minister for Food and Agriculture, Chairman for National Farmers and Fishermen Award Winners Association, Distinguished Guests, Journalists and a host of others.
